A new collection of emails, Collected Emails-4 has been started with some correspondence and photographs from Maria Garner-Jeffrey from Portland, Oregon, USA. Six new entries can now be found in Collected Emails -3, these are from Robert Allwood, Pamela Bakewell, Andrew Chapman, Daniel Spencer and Carol Worthington. Ray George has written concerning his experiences as a war time evacuee in Appleby, and Phil Baker has asked for information about the Garton Family. Geoff and Noreen Powers have written seeking information on their Appleby connections, and Trevor Roberts has provided a photograph of "Lefty" Hancocks and Mark Smith. See Collected Email -2. Carole Haywood has written requesting information on her local Haywood ancestors, review her email in Collected Email -2 Candace Peecher and Colin Coates have sent emails asking if anyone knows of their families. Did your ancestors live in Appleby in 1642 - check the Oath Of Protestation list for that year, listing virtually all the men, plus one woman who lived in the village at that time.
