‘Service Co-ordination Event’ by Sarah Carter (Rural Services Co-ordinator)
Miss Carter informed the council that a Service Co-ordination Event allows common concerns, threats and opportunities of the village to be identified, for example improving transport services for villagers. The Co-ordinator would be able to invite various organisations to the event who may be able to address the issues, for example ‘Dial a Cab’ to help with transport issues. The Parish Council needs to establish if an event is needed and where / when the event should take place. It was agreed the Annual Parish Meeting in April 2006 might be a suitable date for the event. It was also agreed funding bodies might be invited to the event as the Parish Council is considering rebuilding or improving the recreation ground pavilion. The Chairman thanked Miss Carter for the presentation and it was agreed the clerk liaise with Miss Carter and also pass details of the On-Line Centre and Sir John Moore Foundation. The Service Co-ordination Event to be advertised in the Parish News Line.
