Appleby Magna Parish Council Meeting – Minutes

 1644     Minutes        

Minutes of meeting held 8th May 2003 read, amended to state Deanna Morris co opted as a member and endorsed.

1645      Allotments

Ken Colver gave the latest situation with allotment rents and requirements. 1646     Question Time

John Madge, Appleby Magna resident, presented his case against the proposed planning application KI/03/00726/FUL.

1647     Declaration Of Amendment To The Register Of Interests

Ken Colver declared occasional gardening undertaken at the Black Horse Inn, Appleby Magna.

No declarations made.

1650    Police Matters

PC 4041 Clare Horsley  – unable to attend.

Garden ornaments and pots reported stolen in Measham.

Paint poured over a car in Measham.

Attempted break in at Sir John Moore School – disturbed and nothing reported stolen.

1651    Budget And Financial Statements

The budget and financial statements from 1st April to 22nd May 2003 were accepted with the note that the Youth Club Design Fund  £275  should appear as earmarked reserves on the financial statement.

V.A.T. Reclaiming  - Parish Clerk to consult Elsie Jeffrey.

Parish Clerk to obtain a bank mandate.

03/00700/FUL erection of pole & cctv camera – Fina Petrol Station - letter to N.L.W.D.C. – no objections.

KI/03/00726/FUL erection first floor rear extension – 20 Didcott Way - letter to N.W.L.D.C.  of  concerns.

02/01712/FUL Mr & Mrs Mallinder – withdrawn.

Letter to Mr & Mrs Lewis – unable to assist.

1656        Allotment  Tracks

John Quimby to arrange hire of JCB to fill in and level rutted allotment tracks.

1657       The Good Councillor Guide

Existing copy to be kept by clerk – and purchase copy for each councillor.

1658       Course for Parish Councillors

Clerk, Paul and Marion Hemmerdinger to attend in July.

No donation this year. 

1660    Notice & Advertisement of Annual Audit year end 31st March 2003

Letter to Lynn Smith request she carries out an independent internal audit.

Annual Conference of Rural Leicestershire Today 2nd July – invitation declined.

Outstanding Register of Interest Forms to be completed by John Quimby and Ken Colver.

Clerk to obtain cost of scanner/photocopier/fax – to liase with John Quimby.

Donation requests from Appleby Magna Cricket Club and Appleby Magna Football Club - £100 to be donated to each. (These requests to be on agenda for next precept meeting).

Clerk to order update inserts for N.A.L.C. Audit Guidance Publication folder at £11.99
