2151    Minutes 

Minutes of the Annual Parish Council meeting held 4th May 2005 were read and endorsed.

None.

2155    Decisions Taken Under Delegated Powers

£400 cheque raised – Hanson Quarry Products Europe Ltd – 3rd party contribution (10% of grant awarded by Hanson)

£67.50 cheque raised – N.W.L.D.C. – planning application fee for youth shelter

Noted.

2156    Police Matters

No police attendance.  The Chairman reported several items of garden furniture had recently been stolen from various gardens around the village.

2157    Presentations by Visitors – County Councillor Paul Hyde

The newly elected County Councillor Paul Hyde introduced himself to the Parish Council.  The Chairman informed Councillor Hyde about the lack of buses serving the village.

2158    Planning Applications

05/00711/TCA – 1 Top Street – removal of one silver birch tree – no objections

05/00738/FUL  - 17 Didcott Way – erection of two-storey side & single storey rear extension – letter of objection to NWLDC – query with accuracy of plans

05/00660/OUT – 10 Rectory Lane – erection of one detached dwelling – decision taken to leave to NWLDC planners

05/00814/FUL – 38 Church Street – erection of detached garage block/workshop/store – no objections

2159    Planning Decision Notices

05/00409/OUT – Land adjoining Redhill Farm & Sir John Moore School – erection of one dwelling – refused

05/00243/FUL – The Old Forge, 33A Church Street – erection of extensions to form conservatory - granted

2160    Approval Of Budget And Financial Statements

1st April 05 to 18th May 05 budget & financial statements

Noted.

2161    Accounts For Payment

Karen Stirk – Clerk's Payment – 1st May to 31st May 05 - £267.00

Karen Stirk – Expenses for April 05 - £15.58

J.A. Robinson – Ground Maint. Cut 3 – £60.00

A.M.P.C.C. – 3 x church hall meetings in 2005 - £24 (2 x meetings in 2006 to be paid later when new rate decided by AMPCC)

John Quimby – Combi lock & 2xgate catches for allotment - £31.35

Lin Smith – Internal Audit - £50

All cheques agreed and signed.

2162    Planning for the possibility of Illegal Travellers

The Chairman reported that a second lock and new catches had been fitted to allotment gates.

2163    Hornbeam Tree on Recreation Ground

It was agreed to accept a quotation from Roger Croxall to remove lower branches on hornbeam tree.  Clerk to inform all concerned of Parish Council's decision.

2164    Highway Matters 

Black Horse Hill - It was agreed the clerk arrange a meeting with L.C.C. Highways to look at the highway verge.

Rectory Lane – The Parish Council agreed with L.C.C. Highways that Rectory Lane verges be reseeded in the autumn, clerk to inform Highways Department.  

2165    Annual Return for Year End 31st March 2005

The Chairman signed the annual return ready for the external audit.  

2166    Ideas for Written Piece - Parish News Line

The Parish Council agreed to put in the Parish News Line the following points: -

a) The new police contact details and Crimestoppers number

b) Welcome the newly elected County Councillor Paul Hyde

c) Information about the Appleby Magna Rural Ride event in August
