Minutes of meeting held 7th August 2003 read and endorsed.
1690 Question Time
A resident of the parish raised the issue of an overhanging hedgerow which is restricting vision on Bowleys Lane / Church Street. Letter to Mr A. Warrington, Area Manager/Divisional Surveyor, Ashby de la Zouch requesting that he writes letter to the owner of hedgerow. Clerk to send letter to resident requesting trimming of overhanging hedge on Snarestone Road. (Item 30 on the agenda was overgrown hedges therefore brought forward).

1697 Approval Of Budget And Financial Statements
The budget and financial statements were approved for the period 1st April to 22nd July 2003. Apologies were received from clerk that the budget and financial statements for the period 1st April to 22nd August 2003 were not completed due to not receiving August bank statement, to be approved at next meeting.
Clerk to write to H.S.B.C. Bank in Ashby to query details of national directive on new mandate requirements, also to seek opinion from the National Association of Local Councils.

Agreed that there may not be a water meter. It was noted that there has been some encroachment on the allotment footpath from the field.
