A new book by Pat Cunningham tells the story of Joyce de Appleby, who married George de Appleby and lived at the manor house (now the Moat House). After George's death she remarried to become Joyce Lewis, and was eventually burnt at the stake in Lichfield. Pat has written a novel based on her life.
